Life’s Steward

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is a beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is life, fight for it!
— Mother Teresa
Coming across with this poem had me ponder on the very intent and purpose of my life. I think all would agree that all of us are given our own missions to fulfill. It may not be a great feat such as becoming a person of influence to a mass of people, but even just becoming a kind stranger to someone is already something that God wanted us to do. In my part, I am still in the very process of embodying it, I have not yet fully embraced the idea it tries to convey to me. One thing is clear: life is not just sunshine, but thunderstorms as well. Trials and challenges are there to bring out our grace under pressure, and they are necessary for our growth. Going through it, we must not forget God that listens to our unspoken cries, He knows whats in our hearts, and stands by us always.
